Our tack and unforms say everything about who we are, what year of the war we protray etc. We try to give the appearence of 1862 - 1864. The average horse sholdier did not have fancy uniforms, with yellow piping, and gold or brass embellishments. Usually he used what he brought from home and later what he could find on the battlefields. For this reason, we prefer members not use yellow piping on uniforms and fancy embelishments, unless of course you are protraying a Federal trooper. New and shinny is un-avoidable when starting out but your uniform and tack will soon fade and become worn and that is the nomral appearance of a rough and toumble trooper that we strive to re-enact. If you are not sure about your clothing, tack or accrotruments, ask one of our members.
